Beyond Lagos: where the next wave of device demand is coming from

9 August 2026 · 5 min read

Lagos still dominates absolute volume, but growth rates tell a different story. University towns, state ICT programmes and a spreading remote-work population are pulling meaningful device demand into Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Uyo and Benin City.

What these markets lack is not buyers — it is credible after-sales. A customer in Enugu who has to ship a faulty machine to Lagos and wait three weeks has effectively bought an unsupported product, and word travels fast in those markets.

This is why our swap-stock model is structured around depots rather than a single warehouse. A partner holding buffer units locally can hand over a replacement immediately and reconcile with us afterwards, which converts a warranty event from a reputational loss into a reason customers recommend them.

The commercial logic is straightforward: competition in secondary cities is thinner, price sensitivity is real but not absolute, and institutional buyers are underserved. A partner who establishes service credibility there before the market matures holds a position that is expensive for a latecomer to attack.

Partners applying for territory allocation outside Lagos should say so explicitly in their application — we prioritise coverage gaps over adding another Lagos reseller.
