Our parts commitment: five years of spares on every model we ship

6 August 2026 · 3 min read

A laptop is only as durable as the spare part you can actually buy for it. Plenty of hardware sold into Nigeria becomes unrepairable within two years, not because it is badly built, but because the vendor moved on and nobody stocks the battery.

We now commit in writing that batteries, chargers, keyboard assemblies, hinges, display panels and mainboards remain orderable for five years from the last shipment date of each model — across the A14 line and the 15.6-inch Book range.

Practically, that means we hold parts inventory against installed base rather than against current sales. It costs us working capital. It is also the single thing that makes a three-year total-cost-of-ownership argument honest rather than a slide in a deck.

Partners can order parts through the distributor portal at trade pricing, and warranty parts are supplied at no cost within the cover period. The full warranty and service policy is in the SONCAP document pack on the specs page.
